So ive been commuting to and from work everyday. I commute because of the high gas prices, and i hate driving in traffic.

Because of the high gas prices, more and more people are commuting, and one of the cheapest and fastest ways is via the MRT. The past weeks, ive noticed that there was an increase in passengers. How do i gauge? The lines to get to the station...sometimes, the lines reach up to the streets, because there are only 2 guards checking the bags of the passengers. Also, whenever i get on the platform, there are always a lot of people there waiting for the trains...and being the undisciplined Filipinos that we are, we dont form lines...so its every man for himself. And usually the train is full (like sardines in a can) especially during rush hours. Actually even early in the morning. I get off at 5am, the MRT opens 5:30AM. and since ive started working, ive been able to sit on the mrt less than 10 times.

An MRT train i think has 4 cars. The first car , is reserved for the elderly, women, disabled and those with children, and the rest is for everyone. Why is it that women still go for the other cars when they have one reserved for them. When i ride the MRT, its always packed and people really rub against each other. So women can get felt-up if people really want to.

Next, when people get in the train, they always pack by the doors. Even when the middle of the cars have space...So people have difficulty getting in or out the train.

As for the people going in, why dont they let people out first before rushing in...

There are also instances when, already off the train and just to get out of the station, where you insert the card thru the slot to exit, some people dont know how to do it? How the heck were they able to get in in the first place if they dont know how?

Oh, and today, i was standing as usual in the middle of the train, a little bit spacious...then this big guy went in the middle in between me and another person. He was with 2 other people and they made a circle in the middle so his back was on my back. They were like in a conference talking not that loud but you can hear them. Anyway, hearing them talk was annoying already, but his back kept pushing on my back. It was hot because there were a lot of people and his back hitting my back made it hotter. And he didnt even have to push me, because there was some room to move, but he didnt budge. I tried pushing back but for some reason he didnt get it, maybe he thought the train movements made me push back.
