This year LUNA SEA celebrates Christmas in March with the recent release of the concert DVD "LUNA SEA God Bless You -One Night Dejavu- 2007.12.24 Tokyo Dome." Their present? A one-night-only reunion concert that you can see for yourself--out now.

That's right, seven years after the untimely break up of one of the band's that put modern Japanese music on the map, Ryuichi Kawamura, Sugizo, Inoran, J, and Shinya took a break from their various solo projects to give fans one last look at this legendary band. Held on Christmas Eve, 2007, this one-night-only engagement was originally broadcast over NHK's satellite service in a cut form. For the DVD release of "LUNA SEA God Bless You -One Night Dejavu- 2007.12.24 Tokyo Dome," all deleted tracks have been restored to give you complete footage of the entire three-hour concert.

In addition to the concert DVD, This month also saw the release of a brand-new greatest hits collection from LUNA SEA. Look back on the hit-studded career of one of Japan's best loved bands with two discs of classic tracks sporting all-new remastering from 2008. Both the concert DVD and greatest hits album are out now!

MUCC - Shion

Jrock act MUCC returned this week with their latest full-length album "Shion." Though it's been two years since the release of their previous full-length "Gokusai," MUCC's latest activities and new album show that during the period the band has been anything but quiet.

Though visual kei and Jrock fans worldwide have known the varied rock and electronic sound that defines MUCC, 2008 saw the band cross over into international acclaim with the inclusion of the single "Fuzz" on the official "Cloverfield" movie soundtrack. In addition, MUCC joined the Taste of Chaos tour in February with which the band will continue to tour the United States until May.

The new album "Shion" adds another stop in a landmark year for the band. Featured tracks include the dance rock single "Fuzz," album versions of earlier singles "Libra" and "Flight," and more for 13 songs total.

Hikaru Utada returns with the follow up to 2006 hit "ULTRA BLUE," the March 19 release of her brand-new full-length album "Heart Station." One month in advance of her album, Hikki also kicked things off with her lead-in single "Heart Station / Stay Gold."

In contrast to the moody, layered sound of "ULTRA BLUE," "Heart Station" sees Utada return closer to her pop roots. In this mode, the album features tracks like "Stay Gold" remniscent of Hikaru Utada's "Deep River" era, and straight-up ballads like "Flavor of Life." Of course, there are still plenty of deep synth tracks like the new "Neon Genesis Evangelion" theatrical feature theme "Beautiful World," so both fans of classic and recent Hikaru Utada should be pleased. Aside from the previously mentioned singles, the album also includes tracks "Kiss & Cry," "Heart Station," and "Boku wa Kuma," and more for 13 tracks total.
