Specific comments about my video games (Warning: spoilers):

God of War

Pros:

- I like it when my character, Kratos, just rips apart the Minotaurs. They’re normal enemies, but they’re so hard to kill, making it so much fun.

- I like the varied moves that Kratos has. Swinging around the Blades of Chaos feels like I’m so powerful.

- There’s so many baddies that are tough, which is all the better because it means I have more enemies to slay with my weapons.

- I like how everything is so unexpected, like after defeating one vicious enemy, I thought I can stop and continue tomorrow, but no, I’m pitted against another, more difficult enemy that just makes me want to keep on going and kill the next one. I just can’t put down the controller.

Cons:

- I hate the Hounds of Cerberus. They start as annoying pups, and then they grow into three-headed monsters that bring more Cerberus pups. They’re just so difficult to kill.

Onimusha

Oh my goodness, I played maybe 5 hours of Onimusha. Soki and Jubei are now both level 35, and I've maxed out Soki's Fire Dance Sword to level 10. That means it has 44 attack power. Even the other sword, Lamentation, is maxed out. But I think I'm going to use Fire Dance. That's a cooler sword. Anyways, I want to look for an FAQ for this game. There's some grass, fangs, mushrooms, fossilized bones and inventor's notes that I have to combine, and I don't know which items to mix. I'd rather use an FAQ, because I'll just waste my time if I found it out by myself. There's no fun in trial and error and then I have to restart the Playstation II every time I get an error.

My favorite fighting move in this game is the one that's activated with the triangle button. Soki just goes nuts and slashes all the baddies with his fire sword. That's how I got him and Jubei to level up.

The first level monster's so bad it deserves my punishment. It's a giant beetle that's red and ugly. And it shoots Genma balls out of its butt. Genma are the baddies. I just hacked them all to death.

Just now, I found an FAQ, but it's not formatted like how a webpage or word document should be. It's like one whole line with no enters, it's crazy. That's ok, though. I'm a bit obsessive-compulsive, I'll just put the line breaks there with the enter key one by one until I find the part I need. Hopefully the item combinations are covered in this FAQ.

People who make FAQ's are wonderful. They give the imprerssion to me that they are hardworking, they enjoy their videogames, they proofread what they write, they check to make sure that every detail is correct, and they have a lot of free time. It's amazing. I don't know how they do it.

Oh dang, I just read the FAQ, and there's nothing there about mixing items. Off I go to look for another one!

Onimusha lvl 50+

Soki and Jubei are now level 50 plus, and I've maxed out almost all of their moves. I also battled with Ohatsu, which is Soki's love interest, but I just smacked her hard until she passed out. I thought she would be added in my party, like how most role-playing games make you fight a possible team member first before recruiting them, but I guess not. To bad, she would have been a good player. But I did get Tenkai, the Black Onimusha. He's kinda cool. I still have to level him up, though. That means more game time for me! ya!

Ape Escape 3

I don't know if my Mom will like the Ape Escape 3 that I bought for her. I thought it would be a nice game. I tried it out, and the graphics are a bit cartoony. It's too cutesy, I think. And the controls need a little getting used too.

The first level has bright graphics and there's no shades and shadows. The colors are just flat. And the monkeys have an uninspired polygon design and they just run away when they find me. It's frustrating to run after them and swing the net and miss. Finally, the music has room for improvement.

I can't say definitively that this game is good or bad because I've only seen the first few levels.

But it gave me the first impression that my Mom won't like Ape Escape 3. At least, I don't. Maybe I'll return it.

Tomb Raider: Legend

Tomb Raider: Legend is beautiful! That's my first impression. And it's my first time to really play a Tomb Raider game, not a demo, and it's fantastic. I like all the jumping and the puzzles. Plus, it's Lara Croft! She's very attractive and I'm in love. My only gripe is the voice of Lara isn't that of Angelina Jolie. It would be great if she did the voice acting for the video game. Angelina Jolie's accent sounds so cool even though she just acts it. But even though it's not her voice that's used in the game, I still love it!

I'm not the only one who's interested. My Brother, Sister and Mother also wants to play Tomb Raider. It's so much fun!

Nasira yung PS2 controller ko, pinagigilan ng Nanay ko hehehe, sira yung left analog stick kakalaro ng Psychonauts, umiikot na yung taas na part. Orig pa naman yun, yung clear blue pa, mahal pa naman ng bili ko, pero ok lang, hehehe grabe talaga.

So I'm using the black PS2 controller now.
