Whenever I blog, it means I'm pouring my heart out. For this rare moment, I'm blogging over something that got me totally on cloud nine. Yayness!! 
Earlier today, my presence was made at the MTV Asia Awards roadshow at Wisma Atria, which is something I would never do for any other roadshow held in Orchard Road.
Hosted by the ever-so-lovely VJ Denise, the roadshow was intensely awesome. Games were played, especially with the "Guess the M", which fitted the MAA theme "Where Is The M?" to a T. Or should I say, a M. 
Initially, I did not want to participate - all I wanted to do is stand there and enjoy the show. But when VJ Denise announced that the participants have won tickets to the show, I knew I had to be a part of that fun.
The next segment was finding a presenter to present the awards at the MAAs. The participants who volunteered to audition were good/great. Note the (/) as they didn't sound too bad when they delivered the line "Hi, I am (-insert name here-) from Singapore, and here are the nominees for Favourite Artist Singapore". You've got to admire their intestinal fortitude for that.
Soon after, at around 3pm, the roadshow took a pause, while waiting for the members of local band Electrico to arrive. I would say, it was a long wait. But it was all worth it, considering that the performances they gave were awesomely good. Now that makes me wonder why local bands aren't receiving much support from music-lovers. Or that I could be wrong in this case - I hope someone here disagrees with me. If you think I'm wrong, go get yourself a copy of their newest CD We Satellites - support local music!! Okay, I've digressed. 
Soon after Electrico's performance, it was back to more games. After unsuccessfully trying to be a part of the games, that golden opportunity finally came. The game: The search for the presenter - Part 2. Back then, when it comes to things like these, I would get all nervous and fluff. But strangely enough, the lines came to me fluently and articulately. I did not sense a fluff in thy self. That's a victory on my line, that I finally overcame my nerves. But whether my video gets chosen, what matters more is that I've finally won the goody-bag and the invites to the show!
After winning, I stayed on to watch the roadshow. There was the EDC fashion segment, with the models all sizzlin'-hawt! Following which, one last game was being played, where they have to answer questions correctly before they can actually win the goodybags and the invites. There's this one lady who was unable to answer one question, despite clues being hinted by the audiences. The question: Who are the hosts for the 2008 MTV Asia Awards? Whoa, that was indeed an easy one. That is, for those who watch MTV on a daily basis, like me. And just in case if those reading my entry doesn't know either, it's Karen Mok and Jared Leto. I trust that the answer is clear.
On a different note, the audiences in general are a riot, especially the girls who were standing beside me. From their conversations I overheard (which was unintentional), I gathered that they are huge fans of Super Junior (SuJu), which made me fit in right away as I'm also a fan of that Korean pop group. You girls rawked! And oh, VJ Denise too!
So yayy! It's been a long time since I last attended the MAAs - 4 years ago, to be precise. I'm now looking forward to that euphoric experience once more, right in Genting, KL!!
Also, those who missed today's roadshow, do not fret cos there will be another one goin' on tomorrow, same time + same venue! VJ Taya will be hosting tomorrow's roadshow, so don't miss it!!
