31st March - The Last Day of March

Last weekend has been a fun one for me!!

Saturday

I finally had the chance to watch Horton. Gosh, that movie was hilariously wicked, it got me laughing out loud, especially with the part when Horton hollered a hello at that "speck of dust" (which is actually a planet known as Whoville). Jim Carrey is as hilarious as hell, while Carol Bennett is absolutely wicked, voicing as the tyrant plus protective Kangaroo, who regarded Horton as a pain in her arse because he "went against her beliefs".

Bleargh~! Because of her being a stick-in-the-mud, Whoville almost met its end. The ending would really have ended up as such, if the people of Whoville hadn't being united to sound out their existence. But credit really goes to the Mayor's emo-influenced son JoJo, who eventually broke his golden silence and hollered out to Horton's world. After watching the movie, Horton and Jo-Jo officially became my fave characters, though Jo-Jo is my bigger fave. Lol. [=

Sunday

I met up with the babes Lynn, Nysz, Liya, Feza and Ad-Liana at 4pm to have high-tea at Secret Recipe, Suntec City. It may be high tea, but it sure was a storm in a teacup, because the laksa Anthony ordered contained bean-sprouts, which he detested big-time. Although the laksa had been changed, it was still that very same bowl (with a few stalks of bean-sprouts sprouting out of the gravy), and boy, was Ant absolutely displeased. Needless to say, the waiter was screwed big-time.

Finally, a third bowl (or was it second?) was served to Ant, with 100% NO beansprouts. But by then, it tasted really bland. Sighz~ tough luck. For one sure thing, it looks like we're not gonna dine at Secret Recipe ever again, as long as we're hangin' out together, eh?

For me, I was probably the one who ordered more than one dish - spaghetti with meatballs and beef lasagne. As I had no issue with the food whatsoever, I wolfed then down instantaneously. Delicious, yet expensive!! (T.T)

An hour later, Kak Rinie came to join us, alongside her kids Didi and Myra. Being the grooviest among the Grooviee Mommas, we had a grooviee time together-gether!! =D After the high-tea, the caramel cheesecake was brought out, and we sang Happy Birthday to Ad-Liana, cos last week's her birthday~!

After that meal, we headed upstairs to go K-Boxing for a karaoke session. We had been discussing that for more than a year and finally, it materialised. Needlessly to say, we were an absolute riot singing and butchering songs at the same time. And who says K-Box doesn't have Malay songs? They do, and should have more songs at that.

We sang right up till almost 11pm, before we finally headed home, sharing a cab together. Shall we do that again soon?? =D
