Just watched Transformers Twice hehehe...yeap twice in 1 day, and on Sunday I'll be watching it on IMAX! I'am an avid fan of the franchise and totally must watch this (Owns the G1 Action Robot of every characters :P)! What can I say well it is an awesome spectacle great visual-sound effects, the best thrill ride of the year yet! But if you are an open book and thats OK! But if u r like me, you should be little disappointed as the franchise is been revamped... This is SPOILERS, you have been WARNED!
The Transformers are back but this time in Live Action CGI movie, the plot is straight forward 'Their War our World'. Its about a CUBE Thingie (Allsparks) that Megatron needs to empower a new army of Transformers that give life to everyday electrical devices into a freaking robotic killing machine and so he could rule the universe...yes a N91 that walks and kills with submachinegun and blasters.Here comes the autobots to save the Day! What happen to 'The Creation of Matrix'?! In this movie it does not exist.
They fought hard and with no mercy (Decepticon that is). Megatron is sick meglomaniac as he is and only appears only 40 minutes at the end.To Make it easier the summary...
AUTOBOTS: JAZZ (KIA ripped apart by Megatron) BUMBLEBEE (Lives but lost his legs) IRONHIDE(All Weapon Expert, fav dialogue: "Parents are annoying,can I kill them") RACHET(The Hummer2 medical rescue, fav dialogue: "I sense that the boy feromone is ready to mate with the girl...hehehe") OPTIMUS PRIME(An awesome leader,and voice actor)
DECEPTICONS: FRENZY (Stealthy CD Player that kills enemy with CD's a goddamn superb Hacker) BLACKOUT (Helicopter that wield his blade as a weapon ) SCORPONOK (A symbiotic friend to blackout, I think its still alive somewhere in the sand dune) BARRICADE (A police car that has one dialogue really..) BONECRUSHER (One on one with Prime but was crushed by OP with a sword in the spine and face ripp off a 5 minutes cameo) DEVASTATOR (An Abraham Tank killed by the Marines and Bumblebee) STARSCREAM (F-22 Raptor a Flight of Fright that terminates anything in his path but he survived) MEGATRON (The Iceman Project; the dictator of evil Decepticon that unfortunately tear Jazz in 2! But killed easily)
Some of the plots like the communication thingie was stolen from ID4! (Using morsecode). Acting was a bit cheesy unlike Shia who charms in his role as Sam very illustrated character. Megan Fox was Hawt but hard on the acting...The real acting was from Optimus Prime and Bumblebee! The Human plot was a bit confusing, but actually all eyes were on Big Bots Brawling and Berseaking Brains out of each other...The final 1 hour is stupendous CGI Action and Transformation was superb although our favorite childhood sound was less used in the movie! A bit disappointed as the mostly killed off a few of the characters including Villain Robot Badass Megatron that was killed easily.
MB trademarks are using Military force, same old background music from previous films, slowmoving cinematography the Armageddon walk is here again and flares yup like Nicholas Cage flares in 'The Rock' only this time in assorted colours. It will make the hardcore of TF talk crap at Michael Bay! To me its an improvement, the action was good on the spot and real, no more melodramatic love scene like 'Pearl Harbor'. This movie charms on the comical sense is not pushed but its realistic and everybody had a good laughs, even the autobots and Frenzy shows the lanky metal clumsyness in the movie...especially at Sam Witwicky residence! (Must watch it to know)! My final thoughts is go see it if not once, more than once hehehe :)
It is a spectacle to remember,THX thats the game.Avid Fans should not condenmed it so much and I think some of you will watch it again! Good job MB and I hoped ur sequel is better yeah there will be sequels cos Starscream lives and they will introduce newer characters perhaps our favorite after Megatron Soundwave! 4/5!!
P/S: Only Hated how NBE - 1 died so easily.
