Rest In Peace, Mr Crocodile Man

One of Australia's most recognisable icons, Steve Irwin (The Crocodile Hunter) died today in a freak accident. He was getting footage for a TV show when a stingray got startled and lashed its tail out at his chest, effectively killing him. He will be remembered...!

Steve Irwin has shown us time and again, the beauty and fierceness of nature and its creatures.. He loved his work, i would rather say wildlife was his life! It may be odd to some, but as a young boy i was watching him wrangle or wrestle crocodiles or talk about some other scary creature. I think that made a lot of impression on me.. I took up Biology eventually in college.. He taught me to appreciate nature, the animals, and ecology as well.. Thank you mate for dying in the line of duty, I don't intend disrespect for him, his family, and all his fans worldwide.. I think he knew in his heart and soul that one day he'd go in some unnatural way like his work which is not common to the average joe.. At least, he wasn't in pain! Thank God! There is some purpose in his death. The way i see it is it's like some sacrifice for the world to see that we ought to stop taking risk on nature and its creatures. We're killing animals for profit and littering the environment. I see this as some warning that one day when they strike back, we'd all be sorry we didn't pay much attention and give value to Mr. Irwin's great work, contribution, and sacrifice. The Philippines love you and thank you for the lessons you imparted to us! Good journey brave soul and til we meet again! With deepest sympathy to Mrs. Irwin and their adorable daughter, take care! Steve will always be around... Hey, just look around and his watching us on how we'd live up to our part in conservation of the environment and its animals!
