This is what's been bugging me lately. I was at the Nineteenth Day Feast today and one of the topics raised what about the persecution of the Baha'is in Iran. What has the world become too? Isn't this like the so-called "civilized" age? Still, war or unjust behaviours are taking place. This is what's been happening to the Baha'is in Iran. They are being imprisoned for what? Teaching a good cause. Junior Youth classes, Children's classes.. is this wrong? Gaining knowledge.. education, isn't this what the world needs? But just because the Baha'is in Iran are doing this, they are being blamed for it. Blamed for doing a good deed. If you believe in Baha'i, then you believe in NO prejudices. If you believe that all the religion are one, then you believe in the Baha'i teachings. If you believe in harmony, peace and achieving unity, then you believe in the Baha'is. If you believe in equality in men and women, then you believe in Baha'i. It is indeed so sad to hear that now there is gonna be a complete GENOCIDE of the Baha'is in Iran. How can this happen? Those are innocent lives. You can't just kill lives just because they are doing good to the world. This is so unfair. I thought we already got over that period where people don't think with their brains. Well, I guess not. Genocide, going on again, RIGHT NOW, in the year 2006... Where is the love y'all? Baha'is are humans too. I'm sure if the people who are supporting the persecution can't even imagine what they would be going through right now, how would they feel if they were the ones who are being imprisoned? Facing death. As I'm studying international law, the genocide that happened in Rwanda and Yugoslavia DID happen. It happened. And so many awareness was set up, campaigns, protests, petitions, and now it's happening again... Come on world... we should love one another... unite... peace... can't we live in unity? It's so hurtful to see anyONE suffer... the situation in Darfur, Sudan is also another issue.. If we could all work hand in hand, together, I believe we can make this world a better place. So, please guys, spread this word... STOP THIS FROM HAPPENING. PREVENT IT!
