Every year, new business establishments/ventures sprout in the market scene. Wether local or global in setting, these businesses came from different ideas and backgrounds. Although it is simple to say that a good business starts from a well conceptualized business lan, there are still other factors that needs to be considered in order to come up with a good business venture. That is why, last June 26, 2007 at the CICC hall in Mandaue City, a seminar entitled Go Negosyo was held to educate and inspire tomorrows businessmen. In the said seminar, several notable guests in the business world, both local and national, were invited to share some inspiring insights and tips on managing a business. Different viewpoints and humble beginnings were also shared to give out at least a glimpse of how their businesses started. Though the guests differ in background and business management style, yet they still agree upon important aspects and factors that has great impact on ones own business, and that is the passion to manage the business. There were also important tips pointed out during the discussion which is evident on business courses in school. Among those are Marketing, Advertising, Finance and Human Resource Management. Together, if well-addressed and managed along the operation of the business, can come up with good effects to the overall growth of the business. An open forum was also included in the said seminar to give chance for the audience to ask and give out insights about the said topic. Go Negosyo seminar was well recieved by the audience. Student population was a huge turn out of audience during the said activity. Though still not ripe enough to embrace such ideas and concepts about setting up ones own business, yet with this seminar, this will be a jump start for sparking up their interest to set up their own "Negosyo" someday.
