Luck will never always by your side. Life is not like the movie “Just My Luck”. Although I think that this year start great, but there are some unfortunate events happened to me. I guess this is what karma means. It balances our life; we can’t always get lucky every time.

Some unfortunate events that happened to me:

1.       I’ve got flu and nausea. I rarely experience nausea when I have flu.

I’ve got the flu the day after I knew that I’m the winner of the contest. I always got flu but I never had flu and nausea. So, it’s quite odd.

2.       I left my purse at a public toilet and I lost all of my important documents

I don’t know what happen to me. I think I’ve been cursed by the pharaoh because it happened just before I flew to Egypt. What make me sad is there are so many important documents in my purse including my ID, licence and my matric cards which can withdraw money and have bus points so that i can take a bus to class. =(

Even though this thing happened but I can’t complain. Life must go on..

It was my first time to Egypt and my first time that I’ve won something from a contest. It was a great news when I first heard about it. Also, I knew about it on New Year’s Eve. So, it’s like a good luck for year 2008.

So, on 13th January my Dad and I took off from KLIA. The flight was so exhausting since it been delayed for 4 hours. 1 hour in KLIA and 3 hours in Mumbai. We should arrive in Cairo at 0725 but because of the delay, we arrived about 1200. While we wait for the luggage, it’s about 1300 when we settle everything off.

The weather there is cold and windy. It’s about 15⁰C or 16⁰C on day. Some of you might think that “naah.. it’s nothing, just 16⁰C”. no , it’s not. Believe me when the wind blow to your face, you will say “wow, so damn cold!”

We’ve checked in to Semiramis Intercontinental Hotel. It situated in front of the Nile River. The hotel was so nice. It’s a 5 star hotel and the room was big. It even have satellite tv which have about 60 channel. But sadly, I can’t watch it because of the tight schedule. =(

We have to shift the schedule because of the delayed flight. So, we went to Mosque of Amr Bin al Aas. And then we visited Imam al-Shafee’s mosque and tomb. After that we tried some of Arabic foods. That’s it for the first day.

The next day, we went to the Pyramids and the sphinx. This is the best part of the tour. I don’t know why, but I always wanted to see the pyramids in front of my own eyes and I’ve got to see it now. Thanks to Utt! When I want to climb the pyramid, my thighs are cramp. Maybe because of the long hours in the flight. The rock that used to build the pyramid are so big, it’s about the height of my waist. Utt ask me, did I bring the rock of pyramid home? I wish I could..haha..
