Last thursday and Friday, i took a vacation leave from work to join a dental mission. Went to work on wednesday evening with my stuff for the mission in Zambales. So, after work, thursday morning, i went to the meeting place. We left for Zambales around 930am. i was out from work 5am. Anyway, the trip took about 5-6 hours because of traffic and we got lost. Went for a dip on the beach that afternoon, then slept early so i would be good to go on Friday, mission day. The mission went well...except i had 2 complicted extractions, which i passed to my friend coz i was haing a hard time. But, we eventually got it out. We called them last patient syndrome. where the last few patients were the ones that became complicated extraction... It was a tiring day...my back and wrist hurt, but it was a service to the people. Saturday, i woke up early ang jumpedin the beach. The waves were big but i enjoyed the dip. Then we went for a boat ride to  acoral reef area where we could snorkel. anyway, most of the corals were dead probably from illegal fishing methods, but still an awesome sight to see. 

Then we went home Saturday evening. My brother texted me as we were going home if i wanted to join the 11th Tour of the Fireflies on Sunday morning. I was still thinking if i can do it with not much sleep and a tiring 3 days.I got home around 1am and decided i'll go. Woke up 5am for the bike ride. We plied through EDSA, one of Manila's, if not the busieast highway. From what ive read, it was about a 45km bike ride mostly along EDSA. I did better this year compared to last year where i did a lot of stops and was in the back of the pack. This year, i did around 5 stops to rest and rehydrate. It was a very hot day! no wind because we were in the city and we plied the route with cars and buses. I wasnt able to wear gloves so my hads hurt and the back of my hands are red because they were exposed to the sun. its like im wearing gloves.

It was funny coz bikers took over all the lanes of the road, leaving none for the cars. and evrytime a car or bus tries to move and block the bikers paths, the bikers would go in front of the vehicles to let the bikers pass. anyway, this was a once a year event to promote clean air, and where bikers rule the roads.

I just bought myself a new Nikon D60 DSLR!!It cost me more than a months salary, but i think its worth it! I did save over 10k by not buying in the mall...

I cant wait to use it over the weekend!

I won a new SE C902 phone!!!

i got it by just posting a widget on one of my networking sites, ie friendster, multiply, etc...

i didnt really expect it...i got a call as i was on the MRT going to work. normally, i use my ipod full blast so i dont hear anything but my music. For some reason i heard my phone ringing, i answered and i was told i won! woohoo! its the phone used in the James Bond movie Quantum of Solace. I have tried playing with the phone but i cant get the camera to open....im not that techie so i may be doing something wrong :D.

anyway, i might sell it because i prefer basic phones, coz i just use it to call o text. i have my ipod for music and i'm planning to buy a camera to replace the one that broke. i can use the money to buy a new cam!

My bro broke my digicam :(

I went on a planning session/outing last saturday and i didnt have a camera with me...my bro did borrow a cam from his friend but unfortunately, it was broken too... they were able to use it that saturday morning fine, but when i wanted to use it, the lens wouldn't open...poor me... and i was excited to use it underwater since it was one of those water resistant cameras...

so...now, i have to buy a new camera...im still deciding if i should get a dslr cam... problem its too bulky...

We went to a resort in San Pablo, Laguna... we got lost going there, as their map wasnt user-friendly.  The place was ok... the view was nice since it was near a lake... the lake was dirty though :P. Didnt get much sun as it was cloudy most of the time and drizzled a few times...i was hoping to get a tan but, it wasnt meant to be...

anyway...have a splitting headache now...from lack of sleep...im addicted to my DS lite!

Im on a 4 day weekend...took a leave off work yesterday and on Monday is a holiday at work...Woohoo!!

Playing Nintendo DS now... =P

Chinese New Year is almost upon us. Although not Chinese, i see it everywhere in the malls...

Oh...the year of the rat is almost ending, and today when i got back from work, we caught another rat! Its been eating our dogs dogfood. I caught one a few weeks ago...but no one at home could kill it so we left it ouside to die....i know its more evil than killing it at once, but when it was weak, my sis let it go in front of the stray cats...but i dont think the cats killed it, because my brother found the rat eating the dog food again...so he killed it by strangling it with a tool.

So now, we have another rat, and dont know whos going to kill it...

Im now a regular at my work. I also got a pay raise...not what i expected...but ok for now...

anyway...the Grrrrr above is because i wont be getting a performance bonus next pay day, because i got an audit. And i got it when december was almost ending...and today, i found out i got another audit for the month of January...so i wont expect anything again...

That bonus would've been nice...a few more pesos to spend on myself...

And to think, i was the one with almost no errors while we were still trainees.... maybe im just being careless or im just getting bored with my work, because its becoming a routine...

oh well....

2 more days and its 2009!

Happy New Year!!!

Time just flew by so fast! Today is my 6th month at work and i will get regularized!! And i'll also get a pay increase!! Woohoo!!! Im hoping its a big increase because i think ive performed well in my job. I even got a certificate for the month of October as best associate. But from what i heard, the max i can get is P3k or about $60. But, Im hoping for more :P

Anyway, just came home from work...need to sleep as i have to go back to work later...last day of work for the year! and we'll get our performance appraisal later...

its a saturday and i have to go to work...

this is so that we dont have to go to work on the 24th...

been really busy with work that i havent had time to go shop for gifts...i've tried leaving early to go to a mall before going to work, but the crowds in the malls....grrrrr...

anyway, im trying again today...since its a saturday, more people in the mall...i have to get gifts for my trainors...not to suck up, but theyve been really great trainors...and i've know one of them way back from school.
