Last saturday we went to a family gathering/party. We see our family like once or twice a year. So, yeah, most of the people there I didn't know, especially the kids. Most of my younger cousins already have kids. Anyways, my uncle was drunk and well he gave me "the talk." Yeah the most dreaded talk all single people try to avoid. The "so do you have a boyfriend?" talk. But he totally skipped that because I guess my dad was talking to him, so he just started asking me what my type was and when I gave him a vague answer he moved on to his sermon. He told me that I'm not getting younger, that I need to find someone because it's "not good" being single and living my life alone. He also went on to say that I need to know what it's like to be taken care of and to take care of someone and all that. At this point i'm just smiling and nodding my head...hahahha and I just kept telling him I'm still young, I'm in no hurry to get married...it was pretty funny talking to him because like I said he was drunk. He kept asking me my name too hahahha...So yeah it was interesting.
4th of July was fun too. My sister and I went up to Sacramento with my bestfriend and her husband to see the fireworks. We got there early to get a good spot, but when the fireworks started it wasn't such a great spot afterall because a building was in the way. The fireworks was really beautiful though. We even set off our own firecrackers at the parking lot. Oh yeah...a security guard was walking around and asked me and my sister if these full grown children were ours. We looked at the kids and they looked like they were almost teenagers! My sister and I got a good laugh out of that. It was a good weekend wish it lasted longer. Three day weekend was not enough!
I finally took a look at my blogs and it seems I'm missing a few of them...especially the most recent ones. Wonder why that is? Oh well, no one reads them anyways. Oh the joy of summer. I'm feeling the heat now. I should pat myself on the back too because I actually exercised. Well a 20 minutes pilates workout, not too bad...now if only I could get myself to do it every day like I did last summer. It was better last summer I had more energy, this year feel so lazy and tired.
My friend got the wii fitness game and I did my profile on it and said my health age is that of a 41 year old!!! What is that about? Ok so sometimes I do feel really old, especially if I'm panting when I only went up two flights of stairs hahahha.
Hopefully this blog doesn't get erased...
Happy Valentines Day...I think it's only a happy day for those who has a significant others and the retail stores hahhaha. This is the day when singletons are reminded that they are single hahhaha and will pass the day like any other day. Hahah....so anyways! Happy Day to you all!
One of my favorite author has a new book, well new to me...I've read most or all of her books, or at least the ones that are available at the library. I've just started reading it and so far it's good...but then again i'm a little biased because she's one of my favorite authors. Katie Fforde is her name...and yes she write romance novels hahaha. I like her books because her main characters are always loveable and charming and they seem real...they're not too over the edge, they're simple everyday kind or women. The way she tells the story...it just flows and makes me want to read faster to get to the end because like all other romance novels it has a happy ending hahahha.
Why do I blog? haahhaha...to validate my existance... that there are others beyond my circle of friends who would actually read what i've got to say. Oh yeah, this way, years from now I could look at my blogs and remember...

I think it started raining last monday...and it been on and off all week. Getting sick of this rain, makes going out such a chore. I won't be going out much that's for sure. Usually if it rains it's the temperature warms up, but not today...it was cold for a rainy day!
The week is almost over...and more rain to come.
Oh man! I've been sooo super lazy lately, but been busy at the same time. After 10 yrs our family finally redecorated our house hahah...i've been to too many Targets. In one week I've gone to 4 different Target stores in three different cities hahaha...It's my favorite store, but that's a little excessive I think. Tax month is coming up...I hope I don't have to pay again like last year...
Ok will go on being lazy again. too much effort to blog ahahhaha...
*sigh*
We're now on our 10th day of the 2008 and well it's been ho-hummm...I've been down in the dumps lately. It could be the result of many different things. I normally get a little depressed during the winter, it's the cold. I hate the cold weather. Also it's been raining a lot lately and haven't really seen the sun in days. Last we week we had a storm. Roads flooded, the parking lot at work was a pond for a little bit...I saw a car all smashed up when a tree fell on it. Our neighbor's fence fell down and on the news they showed homes that had trees fall on them too. We haven't had a storm like that in a while.
Anyways, been feeling lazy...feeling down. I can't sleep lately and haven't had much of an appetite, I guess that's good. I've been staying home a lot, I haven't even seen my bestfriend since before Christmas. Urgh...hahha. Oh well...I'll get over it hahah...
My Aunt and Uncle from the Philippines will be visiting us next weekend. Looking forward to that. I'm gonna take them shopping in San Francisco. Maybe a shopping trip will cheer me up and I'll get to use the giftcards I got for Christmas...
I found an old cassette tape (yes...before CDs there was something called cassette tapes where you record songs on, very similar to CDs haahahha...) and the songs on that cassette sure took me back to the old days. The days of my youth...lol, where did it all go? As my age is getting closer to the big 3...0...i'm more wiser? hahah nah, I think I may still be as naive and silly as I was when I was 20...and I'd like to think I still look as young? Maybe a little more jaded, a little more quiet...and dillusional?
Yeah the songs on that tape were songs like "I Swear" by All 4 One, and remember Wilson Philip's Hold On..."someday somebody's gonna make you want to turn around and say goodbye...but until then baby are you gonna let them hold you down and make you cry...don't you know it's a change...it's going your way...if you hold on...for one more day...if you hold on for one more day..." And yes I was singing along with feelings...hahahah. It's a great song. It reminds me of happier days.
Anyways...it's the end of another year. 2007 went by quickly... I got to travel around the Philippines, played like a child in Disneyland, had a cold picnic with friends in San Francisco, saw my idol Sarah again in concert, played in the snow, and most memorable of them all was that I got to be a part of my bestfriend's wedding. Besides having done so many things this year, I'm just greatful I got to do them with such great friends. No matter the activities my friends and I did, they were always memorable because I'm blessed to have such loving friends.
Happy New Everyone! Be safe while celebrating!
Christmas is over...we opened our gifts, we had dinner. I think this is the most lack luster Christmas yet. I had no excitement this year. I barely had my Christmas shopping done...I was super lazy. I tried to get into the Christmas spirit, but at the end I just didn't have it in me. We don't have any kids in our family so it's not fun. Grown adults exchanging gifts...ehhh. I think the older you get the less exciting Christmas is...or at least that's what I've been feeling.
Oh well...here's to a new year. In just a few days it'll be 2008. Good things in stored for next year? Fresh start? Not really every day is a fresh start. Well...in just a few hours it's no longer Christmas and I'm gonna go back to work. Goodnight to you all...
Like many I worked on new year's eve...hahah but it's ok because I only worked from 8am-2pm. I had my work done in a few hours and then just sat around chatting with my coworkers. We even opened up a bottle of wine, and since we were sent chocolate covered strawberries...we ate that with our wine. I'm not really into wine, but I had a little bit and it was really bitter, but apparently it's good wine...I really don't know hahaha. It was pretty bad and I felt like throwing up after drinking it.
I also showed my coworkers a video of Charice Pempengco singing on Ellen Degeneres' show...I really can't believe how good she is. She's got such a great voice...
Anyways...Merry Christmas everyone! Stay warm and stay safe!
