Don't attempt to run from the past, it is always behind you.
Don't be afraid of opposition. Remember a kite rises against the wind.
Don't be afraid of tomorrow, for God has already been there.
Don't be afraid to learn. Knowledge is weightless a treasure you can always carry easily.
Don't be angry at a friend who told your secret for neither could you keep it to yourself.
Don't be concerned others not appreciating you. Be concerned about you not appreciating others.
Don't be irreplaceable --- if you can't be replaced, you won't be promoted.
Don't be so Heavenly minded that you do no earthly good.
Don't control. Be in control.
Don't count the days. Make the days count.
Don't cry because it's over, smile because it happened.
Don't ever slam a door --- you may want to go back.
Don't fear failure so much that you refuse to try new things. The saddest summary of a life contains three descriptions: could have, might have, and should have.
Don't get good at doing something if you don't like doing it.
Don't get married only because of the money. You can borrow it cheaper.
Don't judge each day by the harvest you reap, but by the seeds you plant.
Don't kill the dream - execute it!
Don't learn the tricks of the trade, learn the trade.
Don't let anybody walk through your mind with dirty feet.
Don't let people drive you crazy when it is within walking distance.
Don't let time take control of your destiny. Let your destiny take control of your time.
Don't let what you cannot do interfere with what you can do.
Don't let your life slip through your fingers by living in the past or for the future.
Don't limit your challenges --- challenge your limits.
Don't listen to what I say; listen to what I mean.
Don't love the things you own, lest they own you.
Don't measure your life by how many breaths you take, measure it by how many times you get your breath taken away.
Don't pray for easy lives. Pray to be stronger people

The celebration of the new year is thought to be oldest of all holidays. It was first observed in ancient Babylon about 4000 years in an 11 day celebration celebrating the first New Moon (actually the first visible cresent) after the Vernal Equinox (first day of spring). . While modern resolutions might include the promise to lose weight or quit smoking, the early Babylonian's most popular resolution was to return borrowed farm equipment.
The Ancient Hebrews celebrated the first “Rosh Hashana” (Head of the Year) more than 3300 years ago in a combined joyous but contemplative state in a 2 day celebration during the New moon in the Fall. To many, the period after summer, or school starting, of re-energized works seems the most logical time of a new beginning.
And the Chinese, Koreans and others in East Asia celebrate the lunar New Year in the February / March time period – often for a 2 week celebration, where most go to their ancestral villages to connect to their ancestors.
The Romans continued to observe the new year in late March, but their calendar was continually tampered with by various emperors so that the calendar soon became out of synchronization with the sun. In order to set the calendar right, the Roman senate, declared January 1st to be the beginning of the new year. But tampering continued until Julius Caesar established what has come to be known as the Julian Calendar. It again established January 1st as the new year. But in order to synchronize the calendar with the sun, Caesar had to let the previous year drag on for 445 days.
Although in the first centuries the Romans continued celebrating the new year, the early Church condemned the festivities as paganism. But as Christianity became more widespread, the early church began having its own religious observances concurrently with many of the pagan celebrations. During the Middle Ages, the Church remained opposed to celebrating the New Year, which is why January 1st has been celebrated as a holiday by Western nations for only about the past 400 years.
During this holiday season, we have a tendency to get caught up in the hype and stress ourselves out. Want a quick way to de-stress? Spend time helping others. Spend time with someone you know or someone you haven't had the pleasure of meeting yet.
Many people are alone during the holidays and wouldn't think of asking for your time or help because of pride or the way they were raised. You know who they are. Could you find a way to spend an hour with them, to help them through the day? By offering the gift of friendship and time spent, you will make an impact on their life and yours.
The more you give of yourself, the more you will receive in return. It may come to you in ways you never expected, or it may come to you just as you imagined. Either way, I know that when you give unselfishly and freely your heart leaps and the stresses in your life seem to become smaller.
So please consider what I am saying; consider spending time, our most precious commodity, helping others.
Sharing your gift of time with others is probably the greatest present one can give...and receive.

TRUE ISN'T??? I AM NOT CAPABLE OF SHARING AMPLE TIME WITH MY LOVED ONES!
Check out my recently uploaded photos.. those were taken last Monday during our Christmas "Bling" party!
-
Don't let a little dispute injure a great friendship.
-
Smile when picking up the phone. The caller will hear it in your voice.
-
When you realize you've made a mistake,
Take immediate steps to correct it. -
Spend some time alone.
-
Marry someone you love to talk to.
As you get older, their conversational skills will be as important as any other. -
Read more books and watch less TV. (Hide The Remote from Yourself)
-
Open your arms to change, but don't let go of your values.
-
Remember that silence is sometimes the best answer.
-
Live a good, honorable life.
Then when you get older and think back, you'll get to enjoy it a second time. -
Trust in God but lock your car.
Don't undermine your worth by comparing yourself with others.
It is because we are different that each of us is special.
Don't set your goals by what other people deem important.
Only you know what is best for you.
Don't take for granted the things closest to your heart.
Cling to them as you would your life, for without them life is meaningless.
Don't let your life slip through your fingers by living in the past or for the future,
By living your life one day at a time.
Don't give up when you still have something to give.
Nothing is really over until the moment you stop trying.
Don't be afraid to admit that you are less then perfect.
It is a fragile thread that binds each of us to each other.
Don't be afraid to encounter risks.
It is by taking chances that we learn how to be brave.
Don't shut love out of your life by saying it's impossible to find.
The quickest way to receive love is to give love; The fastest way to lose love is to hold it too tightly; and the best way to keep love is to give it wings.
Don't dismiss your dreams.
To be without dreams is to be without hope; to be without hope is to be without purpose.
Don't run through life so fast that you forget not only where you have been, but also where you are going.
Life is not a race, but a journey to be savored each step of the way.
Hi, guys! It would be good if fellow mobbers will post a note on my 10-day old xmas tree. Here's the link...

IF YOU have ever sat alone in a bar, depressed by how good-looking everybody else seems to be, take comfort—it may be evolution playing a trick on you. A study just published in Evolution and Human Behavior by Sarah Hill, a psychologist at the University of Texas, Austin, shows that people of both sexes reckon the sexual competition they face is stronger than it really is. She thinks that is useful: it makes people try harder to attract or keep a mate.
Dr Hill showed heterosexual men and women photographs of people. She asked them to rate both how attractive those of their own sex would be to the opposite sex, and how attractive the members of the opposite sex were. She then compared the scores for the former with the scores for the latter, seen from the other side. Men thought that the men they were shown were more attractive to women than they really were, and women thought the same of the women.
