feelin fantastic. though the jogjakarta tragedy wasnt what i had in mind. friends from around the world were calling just to check on us if we're alright - not realising that jakarta is far enough from jogja.
its silly that every time such things happen, and you end up being in the OK side, you get more thankful and greatful... in the expense of...
never mind. we all, sometimes, wish there were super heroes, dont we? no, whoever figures out the Da Vinci code is not a super hero. if Jesus had a living relative i dont think i need to know about them, and if He was a mere mortal, all the better for me, cause i can only take examples from another human being. that should sum up my thoughts about the movie, and the book... yawn.
now, x-man was refreshing, entertaining. simply super.
watching it with long-time friends i havent had the chance to meet in ages added to the excitement. and surely, it is a movie about superheroes that's really worth recognising. the fight between good and evil, and that evil is really just a bunch of guys too fearful of the threats posed by others, who need that extra attention (and recognition) upon them. they have enough sensibilities to understand the tragedy of life, but who arent creative, nor brave enough, to face its adversities. there! i've gone philosophical after watching x-man!!!
i mean, how simple can life get, eh? this is none of the nonsense da vinci code is trying to solve - as if there are any morals to the story.
long live comic books, long live action heroes. down with time wasting, brain damaging novels. life in all her tragedy is, a matter of fact, fantastic!
